Design Shelter offers several options and combinations for door entryways to each of our H and LH series shelters. One door is most commonly supplied with H series shelters and two doors, one at each end, are most commonly supplied with our LH series.
Standard door styles include rigid framed hinged and latched doors. For this door type, three options are available:
Our single width non folding door measures 58 cm (23”) wide and is ample for human traffic.
Our double width folding door measuring 117 cm (46″) wide opens in a similar manner to a French door. It is ideal for applications where carrying supplies in and out of the shelter is frequent, and for situations where maintenance on snow mobiles or ATV’s is required. The double wide door will support the entry of any vehicle up to 117 cm (46”) wide and 178 cm (70”) tall. Design Shelter’s double door folds in half with vertical hinge for ease of transport and storage.
Our barn style French doors are available for wider vehicles up to a maximum of 203 cm (80”) wide. Design Shelter’s barn style French doors fold in half with vertical hinge for ease of transport and storage.
All Design Shelter rigid framed doors are hinged and latched and are supplied with lock and key. All doors are lockable from both the inside and the outside.
Standard Design Shelter Parks doors are designed specifically for the PH16, PH18 and PH20 shelters to provide unencumbered wheelchair access. Each door is 91 cm (36”) wide. All Parks doors are also 193 cm (76”) tall and are hinged, latched and lockable from inside or out. Parks doors have added measures for frequent use with the inclusion of a kick plate and tensioning wire to prevent hinge damage. Parks doors do not fold.
Optional hard panel doors are available in all sizes as are specially configured emergency exit half-moon style zipper doors.
All Design Shelter doors are supplied with ruggedized field bags.
